So your finally in college and your all on your own and the first thing you want to do is parrrtayyyyy! Well lucky for you I am here to help you party like the rock star you are.
First things first, school comes first so please make sure you are getting all your work done and go to classes because that is what you are there for. But if you aren’t going to listen to me read this to at least be safe.
- PARTY IN GROUPS -It is safer to travel with another person or even in groups. This way, if you’re in an uncomfortable situation, having a friend to help you out of it is crucial. You should watch out for one another and try to walk home in pairs. Never walk alone at night, ever!
- MAKE SURE YOU ARE PREPARED FOR THE WORST– Bring extra cash, water, a taser or pepper spray. Carry these things in case of any incidents and safety reasons.
- DON’T PUT YOUR DRINK DOWN– There are a lot of crazy people in this world and some of those people like to drug drinks. Never put your drink down because someone can slip anything in making you sick or to try to rape you because date rape drugs are common in college. Also, do not accept any drinks that you did not grab yourself. Trust me it is okay to say no.
- ASSIGN A DESIGNATED DRIVER– Keep yourself safe and those on the road safe by assigning a designated driver. Drunk driving is one of the major leading causes of death in teenagers.If your group all wants to party please use apps like Uber or Lyft.
- KNOW YOUR LIMITS– PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BLACKING OUT. Know your limits and know hen it is time to put the drink down. Also save yourself the embarrassment of throwing on people or falling all over the place. You would hate to be remembered like that.
- SHARE YOUR LOCATION- Share your location with a trusted family member or friend in case something happens to you or your group and keep your phone charge so they can know where you are at all times.
OTHER THAN THIS PLEASE HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE! COLLEGE IS FUN SO MAKE THE BEST OUT OF THOSE YEARS AND TURN DOWN FOR WHATTTTTTT!
