But we all want an A and to be put on dean’s list. #Stressed

With my little college experience and recent exams, I believe I am qualified to help. It’s super hard to cheat in college so please take this seriously because cheating is bad and you will definitely regret it.
So for starters find a good space where you know you can focus whether it is your room or the public library. Grab everything you need to focus and jump right on in.
A website that helped me told me to follow these 15 steps.
- Find out what your test will be like
- Develop a memory for test
- Don’t stick to one study place
- Organize your study place
- Get distractions away
- Divide studying into sessions
- Set a goal
- Group up with your friends
- Test yourself
- Beat your test anxiety
- Develop the test strategy
- Learn from professionals
- Work differently with different questions
- Use flashcards
- Relax and don’t worry after the test
All very helpful tips to help you succeed. I further explain so you can gain a better understanding.
- Before each exam if your lucky enough your professor will provide a study guide to give you a glimpse of what will be on the test (It is very beneficial to check your syllabus or study guides).
- Decide how you want to memorize your notes. I typically use flashcards or remember important keywords.
- Find other places to work.Avoid being cooped up in your room because it makes studying boring and you can lose focus.
- Organize, organize, organize, keep your work place neat because that also affects focus and it is easier on the eyes to look at.
- Put your phone away, turn the television off and focus.
- If it is a lot of material to cover or multiple subjects to study, break it off into sessions or days so you prevent being overwhelmed.
- Create a goal. What score do you want to make? What do you to pay attention to mostly? Setting a goal keeps you on track.
- Make a study group. If you feel comfortable enough to study with others then set up a small group it’s better to conquer in groups.
- Test yourself means to go over what you studied without relying on your notes. The point of studying is memory.
- Test anxiety is when people tend to get nervous on test day. The paper lying in front of you can cause you to stress and often forget material. Breathe and relax YOU GOT THIS.
- What’s your test strategy? Mine is to answer the questions I know for sure and save time for the harder/ more challenging questions. Find more strategies :http://www.pstcc.edu/counseling/_files/pdf/test-taking-hints2.pdf
